Dr. Aleem Ansari is a distinguished coatings scientist, researcher, and innovator with extensive expertise in paint technology, polymer science, and advanced functional coatings. He holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the Department of Chemistry, University of Mumbai, and has dedicated his career to advancing research and industrial innovation in the field of paints, coatings, and specialty materials.
As a Project Assistant on a prestigious Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Department of Science & Technology, Government of India funded Young Scientist Project (Project No. EMR/2016/007052), Dr. Ansari contributed to cutting-edge research in advanced coating technologies, laying the foundation for several commercially viable innovations.
With over six years of industry and research experience, Dr. Ansari has been actively involved in the development, localization, manufacturing, and commercialization of a wide range of coating technologies, including:
* Water-based decorative and industrial paints
* Polyurethane Dispersion (PUD) coatings
* Epoxy and Polyurethane (PU) coating systems
* Fire-retardant and protective coatings
* High-performance industrial coatings
His technical expertise also extends to the development of carbon nanotube (CNT) and graphene-based anti-corrosion and conductive coatings, supporting advanced applications across diverse industrial sectors.
He currently serves as the Course Coordinator for the B.Sc. and M.Sc. Paint Technology programs at the Garware Institute of Career Education and Development (GICED), University of Mumbai, where he mentors and develops the next generation of paint technologists.
